History

FilePro’s early incarnation (LMPS Pty Ltd) was established in 1989 by our founder and CEO, David Keeler.
David was responsible for the first code of our earlier versions of FilePro, giving him an excellent understanding of both the legal management process but also the actual code written to allow FilePro to work effectively. Although FilePro now has a dedicated multi-skilled development team, David’s intimate knowledge of the roots of FilePro allow him to be fully conversant in every aspect of it’s use – meaning he can very effectively lead both his team and the company to achieve the best possible software.

The software written by LMPS was our first version of legal practice management software, and forms the direct decendant of the modern version of FilePro. However that’s where the similarities stop, as the current version of FilePro has seen hundred’s of thousands of development hours invested in it, making it one of the leading legal management software packages on the market.

Today FilePro is a successful technology company with staff both Australia-wide and internationally, and our product is renowned to be one of the best legal practice management software packages available, with confidence inspiring statistics (such as 60% of all Western Australian legal practices who employ practice management software choose FilePro), and a customer focused company ethos.
