Recent events have highlighted the importance of effectively protecting your technology platforms and systems.
With this in mind, we have made the decision to remove unsupported Microsoft products from our recommended system specifications. It is important to consider this as firms use FilePro and apply new version updates. Products no longer recommended include:
- Servers
- Operating System – Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 (Microsoft ceased support Jan 2020)
- SQL Server – Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (Microsoft ceased support Jul 2019)
- Workstations
- Operating System – Microsoft Windows 7 (Microsoft ceased support Jan 2020)
- Office – Microsoft Office 2010 (Microsoft ceased support Oct 2020)
Other systems no longer supported by Microsoft, that we do not test FilePro on and would recommend decommissioning:
- SQL Server – Microsoft SQL Server 2012 (Microsoft ceased support Jul 2022)
- Workstations Operating System – Microsoft Windows 8.1 (Microsoft ceasing support Jan 2023)
